These small-group retreats are built around EMDR therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and therapeutic movement, creating space for meaningful personal work in an immersive, supportive setting.
Led by experienced mental health clinicians, the therapeutic program is complemented by movement, adventure, culture, rest, and connection, allowing you to engage in deeper work while also experiencing the destination.
A retreat should feel like a retreat.
Your week includes a thoughtfully structured clinical program alongside yoga, Pilates, surfing, cultural experiences, wellness activities, and plenty of time to rest, explore, connect, or simply enjoy being somewhere beautiful.
The therapeutic foundation is intentional, but we designed our retreat so the pace still leaves room to breathe.
Each participant completes two individual pre-retreat clinical sessions to prepare for the experience, establish therapeutic goals, and determine whether the retreat is an appropriate fit.
The retreat is anchored by facilitated EMDR therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and guided integration, complemented by therapeutic movement, surfing, cultural experiences, connection, and restorative downtime.
Outside of the core clinical programming, you’re encouraged to follow your own rhythm and choose the activities and experiences that feel supportive.
Integrate
Your journey doesn't end when the retreat does. Every guest receives a post-retreat integration session with our clinical team, along with practical tools and resources to support continued growth as you return home.

You don’t need to be good at yoga, Pilates, surfing, meditation, or even know what you’re doing at a retreat. Our clinical team will guide you through the therapeutic experience, and all movement and wellness practices are designed to be approachable for beginners. Come by yourself, bring a friend, and participate in what feels right for you. We keep our retreats small, with just 10 guests, so you can actually get to know people while still having plenty of space to do your own thing.

Our retreats are designed for adults who want to engage in meaningful therapeutic work in an immersive, supportive setting. They may be especially meaningful for people living with PTSD, trauma-related symptoms, unresolved experiences, or patterns that feel difficult to shift through insight alone, as well as those navigating life transitions or seeking deeper personal growth.
Because EMDR is a trauma-focused psychotherapy, each participant completes two individual pre-retreat clinical sessions so our team can understand your goals, prepare you for the experience, and determine whether the retreat is an appropriate fit.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based, trauma-focused psychotherapy with a substantial body of research supporting its use in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). EMDR is recognized in major clinical practice guidelines, and is a structured therapy that helps people work with distressing memories, beliefs, emotions, and physical sensations connected to traumatic or difficult experiences.
During the processing phases of EMDR, a person briefly attends to aspects of a distressing memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation; often side-to-side eye movements or alternating tapping; while noticing the thoughts, emotions, sensations, and associations that emerge. Research demonstrates that EMDR can significantly reduce PTSD symptoms.
At our retreats, EMDR is the foundation of the clinical experience. Participants begin with two individual pre-retreat clinical sessions to establish goals, prepare for the experience, and determine whether the retreat is an appropriate fit. During the retreat, EMDR therapy is facilitated by EMDR-trained clinicians alongside trauma-focused psychoeducation, mindfulness, reflection, and integration. A post-retreat clinical session provides additional space to process the experience and support the transition home.
EMDR therapy is the clinical foundation of our retreats. Surfing, yoga, Pilates, meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness are included as complementary somatic experiences, designed to support the mind-body connection alongside the therapeutic work, not replace it.
Trauma can affect how we experience and respond to sensations in our bodies, and movement- and mindfulness-based practices can provide opportunities to build body awareness, practice grounding and regulation, notice sensations and emotions in real time, and reconnect with the body in supportive ways.
Research supports physical activity as a potentially helpful addition to PTSD treatment, and studies of yoga and mindfulness-based interventions have found promising benefits for PTSD and trauma-related symptoms and mind-body awareness. These practices are best understood as complements to evidence-based psychotherapy rather than substitutes for it.
Surfing offers another kind of embodied experience, bringing together movement, breath, balance, attention, challenge, play, and connection with the natural environment.
No previous experience is required. Surfing, yoga, Pilates, and other movement experiences are appropriate for beginners and experienced participants, and can be adapted based on your experience, comfort, mobility, and ability.
No. You do not need a mental health diagnosis, a PTSD diagnosis, or previous therapy experience to apply. Our retreats are designed for adults interested in meaningful therapeutic work and may be particularly relevant for people working with trauma, PTSD, distressing life experiences, or patterns they would like to better understand and process.
Before the retreat, each participant completes two individual pre-retreat clinical sessions with our team to discuss goals, prepare for the experience, answer questions, and determine whether the retreat is an appropriate clinical fit.
Our retreats are intentionally small, with approximately 10 participants, allowing our clinical team to provide a more personal and supported experience.
The small-group setting also creates space for meaningful connection and shared experience while still allowing plenty of room for privacy, reflection, rest, and time on your own.
Each retreat includes a comprehensive therapeutic program with two individual pre-retreat clinical sessions, facilitated EMDR therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness and integration practices throughout the retreat, and an individual post-retreat integration session.
Your experience also includes complementary somatic and experiential practices such as yoga, Pilates, surfing, meditation, and breathwork, along with boutique accommodations, most meals, airport transfers, restorative wellness experiences, and thoughtfully curated cultural activities.
Airfare and select optional excursions are not included. Our team is happy to assist with travel questions and recommendations as you plan your trip.
Absolutely. You do not need to attend with a partner or friend. With approximately 10 participants, our retreats are intentionally designed to create opportunities for connection and community without requiring constant togetherness.
Whether you come on your own or with someone you know, there is plenty of space for shared experiences as well as rest, reflection, and time to yourself.
