Billing, Insurance & FAQs

Please reach out to us at admin@alignmentcollective.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The Alignment Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based wellness center that offers a range of services to help you feel your best, inside & out. Mental health therapy, yoga, pilates, somatic based practices, and community events.

Yes, insurance may be billed for eligible mental health services, including individual therapy, group therapy, therapy intensives, and therapeutic yoga or Pilates when provided as part of mental health care.

Insurance billing requires a mental health diagnosis, and we will assess your treatment and progress to ensure that services are medically necessary and meet insurance requirements.

We are not able to bill insurance for movement memberships, classes, or general wellness services. However, we believe movement and wellness should be accessible, and we offer sliding scale options for movement memberships and other non-billable services when available.

Please reach out to our team with questions about insurance, subscriptions, sliding scale options, and current rates.

We no longer offer free 15-minute consultations. We’ve found that meaningful therapeutic rapport and determining true fit takes more than a brief phone conversation. Instead, we begin with a full initial session where we can thoughtfully explore your goals, answer questions, and assess whether working together feels aligned.

If it turns out we’re not the right fit, we will gladly provide referrals to trusted providers who may better meet your needs.

We are able to bill many insurance plans, including:

  • Aetna
  • Providence
  • Moda
  • Optum
  • UnitedHealthcare
  • First Choice Health Network
  • UMR
  • Regence BlueCross BlueShield
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • TriWest Health Alliance and TriCare

Alignment Collective is also a VA Community Care Provider, and we are honored to support veterans and their families.

At this time, we are unable to bill out-of-network for CareOregon or HealthShare.

Because insurance coverage can vary by plan and provider, we recommend reaching out to our team to confirm your benefits before beginning services.

We do not currently offer medication management at our clinic. However, we are happy to help connect clients with trusted psychiatric providers in the community when medication support may be appropriate.

With your written consent, we can also coordinate care with your primary care provider or other members of your healthcare team to support continuity of care.

Yoga and Pilates can be powerful tools for supporting mental health because they help strengthen the connection between the body and mind. Through intentional movement, breath, posture, and body awareness, these practices can support nervous system regulation, reduce stress, improve mood, and help clients feel more grounded and present.

In addition to building strength, flexibility, and balance, therapeutic yoga and Pilates can support healing by helping clients reconnect with their bodies in a safe, compassionate way. These practices may be especially helpful for managing stress, anxiety, trauma symptoms, emotional regulation, and overall resilience.

Our South Waterfront studio is now open, and we are so excited to welcome you into the space. Here, therapy, movement, community, and joy come together under one roof to support whole-person care.

Visit us at 3670 S River Pkwy, Portland, OR 97239. To get started, you can request a mental health appointment, book a movement class, or reach out to our team with questions.

Somatic practices are body-based approaches that focus on the connection between the mind and body. They help people become more aware of physical sensations, movement, and breath as ways to release stress, process emotions, and support healing. Examples include yoga, breathwork, and trauma-informed movement.

As a nonprofit, our mission is to make high-quality mental health and movement-based care more accessible, sustainable, and community-centered.

Insurance reimbursement does not always cover the full cost of care, training, supervision, or the support needed to serve people who are uninsured, underinsured, or facing barriers to treatment. Fundraising helps us bridge those gaps.

Your support allows us to invest in new clinicians, provide fair compensation and supervision, expand access to affordable services, and continue serving community members who might otherwise fall through the cracks.

Fundraising helps us keep our doors open, stay rooted in our values, and build a model of care centered on equity, inclusion, and community healing.
