All of our Portland therapists are trained in leading trauma-informed models, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). We utilize a variety of modalities in therapy sessions. We aren't generalists- all of our providers have had advanced & specialized training. We also engage in training through Star Behavioral Health Providers (SBHP), a community of licensed civilian mental health providers who are trained in military culture and best practices. Our commitment to ongoing training and advancing our clinical skills helps to ensure that clients suffering from mental health symptoms receive care that is grounded in research, proven in practice, and delivered with compassion.
What sets us apart is our commitment to advanced clinical training and supervision. Every therapist on our team, whether fully licensed or working as an associate, is required to pursue specialized training in evidence-based and innovative therapeutic approaches. Associates practice under frequent clinical supervision, ensuring the highest quality of care and continuous professional growth.
Our approach is both professional and deeply human: rooted in evidence, shaped by compassion, and guided by the belief that healing happens in relationship and community.
At The Alignment Collective, we believe that mental health care should be accessible, compassionate, and rooted in excellence. Our services are designed to support individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges, whether you are navigating trauma, relationship stress, anxiety, depression, or simply seeking greater alignment and wellness in your life.
We are more than a counseling practice, we are a community of care. Our therapists are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive space where clients can feel safe, supported, and understood. Together, we’re building a community that values healing, growth, and connection.
Our Therapeutic Yoga and Therapeutic Pilates sessions integrate evidence-informed movement practices with psychotherapy to support both physical and mental health. These services are offered as individual or small-group sessions and are facilitated or supervised by licensed mental health professionals trained in somatic and mind-body approaches.
Therapeutic movement sessions are designed to complement a client’s behavioral health treatment plan and may be recommended to support individuals experiencing stress, trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or difficulties with nervous system regulation.
Unlike traditional fitness classes, therapeutic sessions emphasize slow, mindful movement, breath awareness, body awareness, and nervous system regulation. Movements are individualized and adapted to each participant’s physical abilities, medical considerations, and clinical goals.
Sessions may include:
When appropriate, therapeutic movement is incorporated into a broader psychotherapy framework, supporting clients in developing greater awareness of the connection between physical sensations, emotional experience, and patterns of stress or tension in the body.
Therapeutic movement may be offered:
All services are adaptable for different bodies, ages, and levels of physical ability, with an emphasis on safety, accessibility, and supporting each person’s overall well-being.
