THE ALIGNMENT COLLECTIVE
Supportive Movement
Movement is part of how we heal. At TAC, body-based approaches are integrated into mental health care — not as an add-on, but as a clinical tool for nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, and reconnection.
Movement-informed mental health care
The body is part of the picture.
Mental health doesn't exist separately from the body. Stress, trauma, and emotional dysregulation live in the nervous system — and movement, breath, and body awareness can be powerful tools for healing. TAC integrates body-based approaches into mental health care where clinically appropriate, and offers therapeutic movement as part of a broader treatment plan.

What we offer
Body-based approaches in clinical care
Somatic + Body-Based Approaches
Somatic practices focus on the connection between mind and body — helping people become more aware of physical sensations, movement, and breath as ways to release stress, process emotions, and support healing. Our clinicians are trained in somatic approaches and integrate them into therapy where appropriate.
Walk + Talk Therapy
Therapy that moves. Sessions conducted outdoors, walking side by side — for clients who find that movement supports their process. Walk + talk therapy can reduce the intensity of face-to-face contact and help clients feel more at ease while doing meaningful therapeutic work.
Therapeutic Yoga
Therapeutic yoga at TAC is clinically informed — designed to support nervous system regulation, body awareness, and reconnection. It differs from general fitness yoga in that it's integrated into a mental health treatment plan and facilitated with therapeutic goals in mind.
Therapeutic Movement Groups
Group-based movement offerings that support healing, connection, and nervous system regulation in a community setting. Movement groups at TAC are designed to complement individual therapy and build community.
Nervous System Regulation
Many of our clients come to us with dysregulated nervous systems — from trauma, chronic stress, or difficult life experiences. Body awareness, breath, and movement are tools we use to help clients build capacity for regulation, resilience, and presence.
Therapeutic vs. general fitness
This isn't a gym. It's clinical.
Therapeutic movement at TAC is integrated into mental health care — it requires a clinical relationship, treatment goals, and appropriate clinical oversight. It's not a substitute for general fitness or studio classes. When movement is part of your treatment plan, it's because your clinician has determined it supports your therapeutic goals.
