Billing and Insurance Questions

Please reach us at admin@alignmentcollective.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The Alignment Collective is a community based wellness center that offers a range of services to help you feel your best- inside & out. Mental health therapy, yoga, pilates, somatic based practices, and community events.

Yes, for mental health therapy only. You must have a diagnosis and we will assess your treatment and progress to ensure that your care is medically necessary. For services outside of mental health therapy we do not bill insurance. We believe in equal access and affordability- please reach out to us about subscriptions, sliding scales and rates. We believe everyone deserves to move and feel good.

We no longer offer free 15-minute consultations. We’ve found that meaningful therapeutic rapport and determining true fit takes more than a brief phone conversation. Instead, we begin with a full initial session (sometimes 2 for an intake) where we can thoughtfully explore your goals, answer questions, and assess whether working together feels aligned.

If it turns out we’re not the right fit, we will gladly provide referrals to trusted providers who may better meet your needs.

We are able to bill many insurance plans, including Aetna, Providence, Moda, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, First Choice Health Network, UMR, and Regence BlueCross BlueShield. Alignment Collective is also a VA Community Care Provider, we are honored to work with our veterans and their families.

At this time, we are unable to bill out-of-network for CareOregon or HealthShare, but we continue to accept Open Card Medicaid (OHP). We are actively working toward a contract with Kaiser Permanente, though we are currently considered out of network.

Our long-term vision is to ensure that anyone who walks through our doors can receive care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. We are currently fundraising and applying for grants to help make this vision a reality and expand access to affordable, inclusive mental health services for our community.

We do not offer medication management in our clinic, however, we do have connections with other trusted providers in the community who we may be able to refer you to for psychiatric care and medication mgmt. Additionally, we are happy to coordinate care with your primary care provider as needed.

Yoga and Pilates build strength, flexibility, and balance in both body and mind. They reduce stress, improve posture, increase energy, and support overall wellness-making them powerful tools for mental health, healing, and resilience.

We are thrilled to share that we have just signed a lease at our new South Waterfront location which will offer ease of access, community, therapy, and a lot of joy under one roof. We hope to open the studio by January 2026.

Somatic practices are body-based approaches that focus on the connection between the mind and body. They help people become more aware of physical sensations, movement, and breath as ways to release stress, process emotions, and support healing. Examples include yoga, breathwork, and trauma-informed movement.

1. We’re a nonprofit because our mission is bigger than what insurance reimbursement can cover and we’re committed to access, equity, and sustainability.
2. Training new therapists is expensive. While they’re building caseloads, they’re not yet generating revenue, but we believe in paying them fairly and investing in their growth rather than leaving them unpaid and burnout.
3. There are people who fall through the cracks, those underinsured, uninsured, or facing barriers like military families who avoid care due to stigma. We’re here for them.
4. Fundraising isn’t about padding a budget, it’s about ensuring our doors are open to anyone in need, regardless of their ability to pay, and staying true to our values of fairness, inclusion, and community healing.
